PERSEVERE, AND YOUR VISION WILL BE FULFILLED

“The vision is yet for an appointed time.” Hab 2:3 NKJV
Grace Hopper was born with a desire to discover how things worked. At age seven, her curiosity led her to dismantle every clock in her home! She eventually completed a doctorate in mathematics from Yale University. During World War II, she joined the navy and was assigned to its computation project at Harvard University. There she met “Harvard Mark I,” the first functional digital computing machine. Once again, she set about to learn how its 750,000 parts and 500 miles of wire worked! While most experts believed computers were too complicated and expensive for anyone but highly trained scientists to use, she had her own idea: make them easier to operate so that more people could use them. As late as1963, each large computer had its own master language. Grace became an advocate for universally accepted systems. She had the audacity to envision a day when computers would be small enough to sit on a desk, be more powerful than Harvard Mark I, and be used in offices, schools, and at home. After achieving the rank of rear admiral, she retired from the navy at age seventy-nine. More importantly, she had lived to see her dream of personal computers come true. Do you believe that God has given you a dream or vision to fulfill? Though you face obstacles and opposition, stick with it and stand on this Scripture: “The vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come.” So persevere, and your vision will be fulfilled!
