LET GOD DIRECT YOUR STEPS

“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” Ps 37:23 NLT 

How does God lead us? One step at a time. How involved does God want to be in our lives? “He delights in every detail.” That means there is nothing too big or too small to trust Him with. The Christian life is a journey, and the Holy Spirit is our guide. He is always guiding us to what is best for our lives. The key to a successful and enjoyable journey is to follow Him. Many times, we get impatient and rush ahead of God. We think we know the best direction to take or get restless with His timing and make a wrong turn because it looks quicker. The bad news is, when the road we are on leads to a dead end, we have to go back to where we got off course. The good news is, God is there waiting to take the lead again and show us the right way to go. The Lord has each of our journeys perfectly planned. We need to fully understand that He loves us, that He is good, and that we can trust Him. “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble” (Na1:7 NKJV). We can trust Him to lead us in the direction that is right for us, to correct us when we stray, and to guide us back to the right place. We just need to follow the Holy Spirit’s lead because He knows the way and He will always stay with us. Prayer: “Father, direct each step I take this day, and be present in every detail of my life.”
